CyCPOVEK has more than 12.000 member SMEs, encompassing all fields of economic activity (retail trade, services, technical trades/crafts, transport services, etc.) CyCPOVEK is headquartered in Nicosia (the capital of Cyprus) and has established four District Committees (in Nicosia, Limassol, Larnaca/Famagusta, and Paphos). CyCPOVEK now comprises about 56 professional/trade associations. (see pages 4-5). Throughout its history, CyCPOVEK has proven to be a reliable supporter and promoter of the interests of small businesspeople, working hard to influence legislation in line with its members' interests (such as laws and regulations establishing shop rent controls, vocational and educational standards for technical trades, etc).
